Dr. Whiman's performance was highly musical and highly educational! My students had the opportunity to watch one of the most musical live performances that they may ever see in their lives. I have been fortunate to host Dr. Dave Whitman several times at Trinity Presbyterian School in Montgomery, AL, to instruct our percussion students. Dave is upbeat and high energy and consistently pushed my students to become better. He worked diligently with the students during rehearsal time and pushed them during evening free time to become better percussionists by working with them on drum pads. Each time I hosted Dave, our drumline won Best in Class Awards each Fall with the music he wrote, including scoring the highest drumline score at a contest with bands over 3 times the size of our band.
